UNIMA (UNion Internationale de la MArionette) is an international non-governmental organization affiliated to UNESCO bringing together people from all over the world who contribute to the development of the art of puppetry and place this art at the service of humane values such as peace and mutual understanding between peoples regardless of differences in race, political or religious beliefs and culture, in accordance with the recognition of the fundamental rights of man as defined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations on 10 December 1948.
