Repertory theatre with a permanent ensemble of actors. The basic feature of the production work is a deliberate variety of genres and styles. This is also reflected in the varied dramaturgy, which focuses mainly on lesser-known titles, not yet presented in the Czech Republic and untested. In the spectrum of Czech theatres, it has defined itself as a theatre that goes beyond drama towards alternative, musical, puppet or cabaret genres.
It also regularly engages with children's audiences. Every year it presents more than 120 performances for children and young people. For younger children it organises the festival Children on Dlouhá, and since 2007 it has been organising a theatre festival for teenagers 13+.
