The Brno Theatre of Clowning

It was founded in 1986 by Zdeněk Korčián and Zdeněk Mazáč, students of Bolek Polívka. The characteristic features of the clown's work are absurdity, mystification, fun, improvisation, provocation, recession, communicativeness and above all openness and playfulness. This Brno theatre has become widely known, especially thanks to its production of Don Quixote de la mAncha, which has now had over 5,000 performances and has become the most performed show in Europe. In 2023 it celebrated 35 years of its existence.
