The directing duo SKUTR consists of Martin Kukučka (1979) and Lukáš Trpišovský (1979), who met while studying at the DAMU in Prague. SKUTR's productions have been presented at many prestigious festivals in Europe and Asia.
They are engaged in author's work and directed opera, dance, drama, circus and other theatrical genres for Czech and European stages. They have received several awards for their work in the From 2017 to 2022, they were members of the artistic management of the Dlouhá Theatre in Prague. Since September 2022, they have been the new artistic directors of the Drama Department of the National Theatre.
