The Klicperovo Theatre is a municipal theatre in Hradec Králové, named after the playwright Václav Kliment Klicpera. It has won the Theatre of the Year award several times. It hosts the theatre festivals Waiting for Wenceslas (Čekání na Václava) and Theatre European Regions (Divadlo evropských h regionů) and is known for its commitment to innovation and progressive direction. The acclaimed and award-winning director Vladimír Morávek has worked here for several seasons and has staged exceptional productions which, thanks to his directorial poetics, are among the most important post-revolutionary works.
