Chamber Stage Arena | Perform Czech

Chamber Stage Arena was founded in 1994 in Ostrava. Since its foundation, Arena has gradually evolved from an unknown small scene to one of the most acknowledged theatres in the Czech Republic. Their productions are favoured not only by the general public but also by critics. This is evidenced by extraordinary successes on a nationwide scale and many awards for their theatrical work, which four times culminated in the highest award for the Theatre of the Year. Arena focuses on the so-called acting theatre. The main goal of the theatre is to critically reflect the modern world through both classical and contemporary plays, which are often tragicomedies.
