Mime Prague presented in Tel Aviv Dance Festival

Mime Prague, or rather our leading representative of mime theatre Radim Vizváry, has had a successful guest appearance at the Tel Aviv Dance Festival. He performed his regular Solo on July 28th and his production for the youngest audience, Paperboy, twice. In addition to the three sold-out performances, the discussion was also a success, with local dance students learning about mime and its history. For Radim Vizváry, this year’s trip was his second visit to Israel so far.

All performances were sold out and enjoyed great success. A discussion was held after the Solo and according to the organizers, more people stayed than expected. Audience members were mostly interested in the differences between genres and techniques of mime and contemporary dance, the history and present, or how many professional mimes are working in the field not only in our country but also worldwide.

The participation of Mime Prague and the company of choreographer Věra Ondrašíková was supported by the Czech Centre Tel Aviv.
