Imagine that one fine day an angel suddenly falls into your home. Right out of the blue. Only a moment ago, he was flying somewhere up above the clouds and now suddenly he’s here. He doesn’t understand our world, he doesn’t know its rules, and he’d like to go back to where he came from. But how can he? How can we help him? Mother might be able to tell us, but she seems to think we made the whole thing up. Still, the angel is here. Everyone can see him, everyone can hear him, he’s impossible to miss. Or is he?
What a Challangel! is a new production at the intersection of poetic physical theatre and clownish slapstick by the well-established creative trio Riedlbauchová – Stránská – Čtvrtník, creators of the successful, award-winning production Bedtime! for DRAK Theatre. In addition to featuring Petra Cicáková and Luděk Smadiš, whose extraordinary movement and comedic skills are well-known from Bedtime!, the production also showcases the DRAK ensemble’s two youngest members, Edita Dohnálková Valášek and Šimon Dohnálek.
