The pathways are as different as the performers’ journeys through life, but one thing unites them: a passion for dance. This site-specific project plays out in public spaces in a clearly defined choreographic structure that leaves plenty of room for individuality.
Brazilian dancers are noted for their spontaneity and vibrancy. What will emerge from a creative encounter with their counterparts from the Czech Republic, Ukraine and France? Like the life paths of the dancers, the Routes (Rotas) are different, but one thing unites them: a passion for dance. This site-specific project plays out in public spaces in a clearly defined choreographic structure that leaves plenty of room for individuality. TANEC PRAHA presents the world premiere of ROTAS AFORA in co-production with the Brazilian festival Danca im Tránsito.
Spectators can expect an outdoor performance featuring dancers from different backgrounds in a site-specific, contemporary dance project. ROTAS AFORA has evolved from a creative partnership between Brazilian, French and Haitian artists, guest artists from the Czech Republic and Ukrainian artists. The project also features individual, intersecting stories. Key words: encounter, community, exchange, kindness, site-specific.
