SE.S.TA

SE.S.TA is the first Centre for Choreographic Development in the Czech Republic. It provides professionals from the fields of contemporary dance, new circus, and movement theatre with tools to help them develop their careers as artists, teachers, or theorists. Working in an international and interdisciplinary spirit, it promotes dialogue between professionals. The centre’s main activities consist of residencies, coaching, workshops, and lectures as well as interdisciplinary projects in galleries, schools, etc. Every year SE.S.TA selects four associated artists to receive support, each for a period of three years. The second axis of SE.S.TA’s activities is audience development and community work. The aim is to open the doors of contemporary movement art to a wide audience. SE.S.TA organises the international festival KoresponDance. Activities are conducted in Prague and also in in the Vysočina region, in Žďár nad Sázavou.
