A constant pulse, looking for life.
Shadows and light.
For light.
Four female bodies move through a landscape of vertigo, pulsation and exhaustion. A choreography of shadows and light, nearness and absence, creates a living kaleidoscope that distorts the audience’s perception of bodies’ presence, their way of being.
Rapture is a ritual of effort — a conscious search for vertigo, for the moment when chaos and order can coexist. Through rhythm, light and breath, the performance traces the fragile boundaries between order and chaos, and intimacy and exposure. In shifting shades of blue, Rapture becomes the confession of a collective pulse, trembling at the edge of transformation.
Rapture invites the audience into a shared state of alertness and fragile sensitivity, where emotion becomes rhythm and rhythm becomes an encounter. What begins as a ritual of endurance expands into a meditation on being and the constant effort of holding on, letting go and finding life again in the trembling afterglow.
About the company
23Poems brings together four independent artists: Eliška Benešová, Tereza Krejčová, Kristýna Peldová, and Karolína Šnajdrová. Their work bridges theatre and site-specific performance, teaching for diverse groups, and the creation of short dance films and photography. Since 2023, they have been collaborating with the Prague cultural space ÚL, where they premiered S.I.O. – Sides of In and Out, and with regional venues and festivals such as Sladovna Písek, Stodola Drozdov, Vzbuďme Vary and the SIRAEX Festival. In 2025, the collective created RAPTURE in collaboration with Slovenian visual artist Enya Belak, co-produced by Tanec Praha z. ú. / PONEC – Dance venue.
