Mystical Self invites us to explore the depths of our inner world, embracing its mysteries, and to look for solace while shadows dance and whispers echo. It is a reminder that beneath the surface of our everyday lives lies a profound and infinite expanse, waiting to be discovered and experienced.

With a non-linear narrative, Mystical Self interconnects behavioural, expressive, and communicative similarities between beings. Edivaldo Ernesto intuitively juxtaposes images and gestures of movement, developed collectively with the dancers, inspiring them to delve into their own transformations and to reach a different character.

The contemporary dance theatre ensemble Lenka Vagnerová & Company was founded in 2012 by choreographer and director Lenka Vagnerová. The company plays a significant role in the systematic development of the dance theatre genre, creating new, progressive, and original authorial productions each year that resonate with high artistic quality on both domestic and international stages.

Each year, the company creates innovative productions that blend elements of dance, physical theatre, puppetry, and drama. The company brings together exceptional artists, including dancers, actors, musicians, and visual artists. It offers professional educational programmes, provides residencies and internships, fosters new theatrical forms, and connects outstanding artists and creators.

Since 2012, Lenka Vagnerová & Company has been one of the most significant entities in the field of Czech contemporary dance theatre.

The company’s productions are characterised by existential questions, the urgency of human relationships with others and their environment, as well as a play between reality and fantasy. Lenka emphasises the precision of theatrical moments and the quality of movement, and she supports the individuality of the performers. She explores the strength and dynamics of the group and investigates the physical possibilities and limits of the human body through an original dance and theatrical language.

Lenka Vagnerová regularly leads workshops and teaches her dance method, “Talk
Through Your Body,” at dance ensembles, theatres, and schools internationally.
