Founded in 1998, the Kámen Theatre is a Prague-based author's theatre and art salon, operating since 2007 in its own theatre studio for 50 spectators. Its specialty is original and unusual methods in modern drama. It works with the physical perception of theatre and its musicality, the playing out of motifs on multiple levels, interplay of forces and energies, minimalist practices, jazz-type improvisation, and live personal acting. The performances open up space for multidimensional experiences, free interpretation and inevitable humour. In addition, they publish an online theatre newspaper called Občasník.
