Zlín City Theatre | Perform Czech

It is currently considered one of the finest regional drama theatres in the Czech Republic. This professional theatre scene was founded in Zlín in 1946. A modern theatre building was built in the centre of Zlín in 1967 and until 1990 was called the Workers' Theatre.

In addition to its own repertoire, the Municipal Theatre Zlín offers a number of guest theatre performances, including opera. The theatre foyer is used by the State Gallery in Zlín. It is also the traditional venue for the international theatre festival "Setkání - Stretnutie“ at the beginning of May.
