Spejbl and Hurvínek Theatre is a puppet theatre located in Prague. Founded in 1930 by puppeteer Josef Skupa, Spejbl and Hurvínek was the first professional puppet theatre established in Czechoslovakia and the present-day Czech Republic. The bulk of production is devoted to children, but Wednesday nights traditionally belong to adults. Children's repertoire includes both the humorous stories of the contemporary world, as well as modern fairy tales. For adults theatre offers satirical comedies. A typical feature of the S+H theater are marionettes - puppets on strings.
