Theatre on the Balustrade

Founded in 1958, Theatre on the Balustrade is one of the most famous smaller theatres in Prague and represents the leading stage of contemporary theatrical tendencies. Many prominent theatre personalities have worked here. V. Havel, I. Vyskočil, J. Grossman, E. Schorm and P. Lébl. Currently the theatre is under new artistic management (P. Štědroň, D. Viceníková and J. Mikulášek).

There is also the Eliade’s Library, an alternative stage dedicated mainly to young artists.
