The networking project Bread & Dance Prague introduces five dance and physical theatre companies

The new dance and networking project Bread & Dance Prague will take place from 13 to 18 May 2023. The project’s watchword phrase “Dance is Our Bread” will be presented in three blocks: the international dancers’ fair, the networking base, and the showcase of contemporary dance and physical theatre.

The participants of the international fair will go through three-hour blocks of introduction workshops with choreographers of 420PEOPLE, BURKICOM, DEKKADANCERS, and FARM IN THE CAVE. They will learn about their working methods, work on specific tasks, and get feedback in the final Apres Ski event. The fair also features a casting call for the new project of Farm in the Cave and new opportunities to work on upcoming projects of other companies.

The networking part of the program is designed for the development of work, collaboration opportunities, and opportunities on international stages with heads of companies and promoters from other European countries. The event includes lectures, discussions, case studies, and open workshops.

The contemporary dance and physical theatre showcase will present eleven shows by eight choreographers, performed by six companies, featuring current performances of 420PEOPLE, DEKKADANCERS, FARM IN THE CAVE, and LENKA VAGNEROVÁ & COMPANY. The guest of the showcase is Ceren Oran & The Moving Borders (DE/CZ).
