There is perhaps no play less in need of presentation than Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. ABC Theatre’s production of this famous story about love and hate, the fateful discord between two families and how petty things can lead to a fatal tragedy, is staged by artistic director Michal Dočekal, with young talents
Tereza Marečková and Zdeněk Piškula in the leading roles. Live accompaniment is provided by the indie rock band Please the Trees.
