Goats Horsing Around

How does a cow dance?

The production was inspired by Tereza’s actual cow Malina and Bára’s desire to be in one of Tereza’s books.

A cow is a huge animal, a warm panting body, a friend. Everyday life with a cow was such a strong experience for Tereza that the brush and paper ceased to be enough and she and Bára gradually began to dance a theatre show about and for the

cow. Thus a duo of authors was formed, a dialogue between cow and person, performers and audience, artist and dancer.

Barbora Látalová – choreographer, dancer, teacher, graduate of the dance conservatory Duncan Centre in Prague, she completed a scholarship at the Hunter College and NYU in New York. Co – founder of Ostružina association.

Tereza Říčanová -illustartor, performer, lector, studied ilustartion and graphicarts in UMPRUM ,Prague, in the Atelier of Jiří Šalamoun. She lives in the farm in Mezná village with her big familly, cow and other animals. Since she has a cow she is also making home made milk products.
