Velvet Havel

Velvet Havel is an authorial music-theatrical project by Miloš Orson Štědroň, who after his previousaward-winning stage projects dealing with important Czech personalities (Ivan Blatný, Jaroslav Hašek, Antonín Dvořák, Josef Gočár, Johann Gregor Mendel) arrived logically at the character of Václav Havel. Orson Štědroň is being left to be freely inspired by Havel’s life and work. He concerns Havel, his vicinity as well as our own selves with humour and his typical dramatic compression,. The music-based performance gives the opportunity to grip this complex and thorny theme of one of the most significant Czech personalities (and already a legend during his life) with grace and a high degree of originality.
