Duncan Center Conservatory celebrates 30 years

The Duncan Center Conservatory in Prague celebrates 30 years. Three days (20-22 September) in the main building in Praha-Braník will see dance performances, workshops, lectures, and much more. In October, student performances will be presented in the towns of the Czech Republic (Děčín, Plzeň, Litoměřice, Jihlava, Pardubice). The peak of the celebrations will take place on 11 November in the Ponec Theatre.

The Duncan Center Conservatory is a unique school of its kind in the Czech Republic. It was founded by Eva Blažíčková in 1992. It continued in the legacy of American dancer Isadora Duncan and her Czech follower Jarmila Jeřábková. The school has greatly contributed to the development of contemporary dance in the country. Many graduates have influenced the shape of the local art scene and/or are an important part of the system of dance and motion education for children in the Czech Republic.
