20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE PREMIERE AND THE 550TH RERUN OF THE PRODUCTION HOW I GOT LOST

V Dlouhé Theatre celebrated twenty years since the premiere of Jan Borna’s How I Got Lost or a Little Christmas Story, which also had its 550th rerun on Friday, 28 February 2020. The production was inspired by Ludvík Aškenazy’s Little Christmas Story, which premiered on 26 February 2000 a nobody expected at that time that it will become the most popular and cult production, which has been on for the longest, with only a few people being able to get tickets for the performances in December.

Due to operational reasons, there have been several alternations, most people played the Mother. Most of the other roles have been played by the same actors in the past twenty years, including Pavel Tesař in the role of lost Pavlík. 550 reruns mean:

  • 1 lost Pavlík
  • 2 policemen
  • 3 lamplighters
  • 4 drummers
  • 5 mothers
  • thousands of rolls, sparklers, matches

and, what’s most important, nearly 250,000 viewers of various ages.
