The book Jaroslav Malina in Scenography and Painting has been published

Jaroslav Malina (1937–2016) was an internationally acknowledged stage designer and painter. Essays in this book cover various aspects of his career, provide an insight into his working methods and their philosophical roots, and clarify Malina’s artistic contribution.

Transcriptions of the interviews have been published for the first time in this book and provide an intimate testimony about impulses that led Malina in the course of time. More than 120 illustrations prove the connection between Malina’s work of a stage designer and his more distinctive painting. The book was published by the Karolinum publishing house with the editor being Joe Brandesky, the American expert in Czech theatre and stage design.
