The Prague Quadrennial Awards 2019 have been handed out, including the Golden Triga Award

Tuesday June 11 witnessed the ceremony of awarding the Prague Quadrennial Awards 2019, including the main award Golden Triga, in the Exhibition Grounds in Holešovice. The international jury gave the prestigious award to the Macedonian project This Building Truly Talks.

The jury assessed many categories, from the best design to the curatorial concept, outstanding student talent and the lifelong professional merits. The award for the best exhibition in the Countries and Regions category went to France, Catalonia and Hungary. The award for the curatorial concept went to Latvia, the award for the best exhibition in the Student Exhibition went to students from Taiwan, Georgia and Finland. The award for imagination in the Student Exhibition went to students from Italy, Czech Republic and Philippines. The award for the best design went to 6 exhibitors from Mexico, Croatia, China, Canada and Australia. The special jury award went to Bert Neumann and Kirsten Dehlholm received the award for the lifelong professional merits. The PQ 2019 award for the mentor went to Arnold Aronson. There were 28 awards altogether. The international jury of the Prague Quadrennial 2019 was Dorita Hannah, Tim Foster, Jim Clayburgh, Liu Xinglin, Sofia Pantouvaki, Robert Kaplowitz, Yaron Abulafia, Sodja Lotker, Omar Rajeh, Monica Raya amd Kate Bailey. The new design of the award was prepared by the architect and designer Petr Bakoš.
